This is a dangerous season because far too many people go to sleep in politics after a Presidential election and the ruling class knows it. The proponents of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) know that if they want it passed any time soon they must do it before Donald Trump takes office.
The media is reporting that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will not hear the TPP before next year.

This is our opportunity to close the deal and ensure it does not get a favorable vote just in case they change their minds and vote on it this year.

Buried in the details of the Trans-Pacific Partnership are the elements often found in constitutions used to commission a new government. This agreement with it's thousands of pages of rules and regulations is structured to superseded the U.S. Constitution and for this reason alone should be voted down.
Please vote AGAINST the TPP should it come up for a vote this fall.
To support my claim that a new level of government is being created although it is not openly declared as such I refer you to key sections within Articles 27 and 28 of the TPP. These articles grant legislative, judicial, and executive powers to unelected bureaucrats making up the Trans-Pacific Partnership Commission. Once convened they will also have the authority to modify the TPP itself. Considering the tendency for bureaucracies to grow in power and resources this document is just a start.
Please understand as well that if you and I disagree on interpretation of the details it does not matter. The TPP says the unelected bureaucrats of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Commission are the interpreters. What do you think they will do?

Article 27.1: Establishment of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Commission
The Parties hereby establish a Trans-Pacific Partnership Commission (Commission), composed of government representatives of each Party at the level of Ministers or senior officials. Each Party shall be responsible for the composition of its delegation.
Article 27.2: Functions of the Commission
1. The Commission shall:
(a) consider any matter relating to the implementation or operation of this Agreement;
(c) consider any proposal to amend or modify this Agreement;

Unless the disputing Parties agree otherwise, the chair shall not be a national of any of the disputing Parties or a third Party and any nationals of the disputing Parties or a third Party appointed to the roster established under Article 28.11 (Roster of Panel Chairs and Party Specific Lists) shall be excluded from a selection process under paragraph 2(d).
Article 28.12: Function of Panels
1. A panel’s function is to make an objective assessment of the matter before it, which includes an examination of the facts and the applicability of and conformity with this Agreement, and to make the findings, determinations and 28-11 recommendations as are called for in its terms of reference and necessary for the resolution of the dispute.
Only highly regulated trade calls for the establishment of a commission with such broad authority. Free trade between sovereign nations does not.
More can be said about the opportunities created to levy taxes, punitive tariffs, granting competitive advantages, and more once implemented.
Once again, please vote AGAINST the TPP should it come up for a vote this fall.
