Time to Act! Some bills can use our help … Shown below are immediate and relevant action items for this week. Get your neighbors involved! Forward this email to friends and encourage them to sign up at: OklahomaFreedom.org ##################################### Defend the U.S. Constitution HJR1018, SJR4 – These bills are applications by Oklahoma to Congress for an Article V Constitutional Convention. The problem is that the special interest groups and Wall Street establishment that have so much influence over Congress now will be able to use Congress to control a Convention and modify the Constitution for their interests instead of ours. The proponents have announced votes will occur this week. For this reason we need to increase our efforts to inform our legislators of the risks that come with such a Convention in our day. Our legislators are no longer reading our emails on this topic because they have received so many from the proponents. For this reason we have to visit. We don't need to change the U.S. Constitution; we need to follow it. Status – HJR1018 can be heard on the Senate Floor any time. SJR4 can yet be heard in the House Rules Committee. Action – Meet at the state capital this coming Monday and/or Tuesday to help with handouts. We are meeting 3 times with different handouts each time. Monday, Noon Tuesday, 9am Tuesday, Noon Governor's Hall (2nd Floor, SW corner) State Capital (come early to get through Security) ####################################### Stopping Vaccine Mandates HB3016 – This bill is designed to support informed consent for vaccine consumers. Status – This bill has passed the House with overwhelming support and is now in the Senate. While plenty of other bills have been assigned to committees at this point this bill has not. We need to act on this. Action – Email and call the Senate Floor Leader, Senator Schulz, ((405) 521-5612, schulz@oksenate.gov) and request that he assign HB3016 to the Senate Health and Human Services Committee. ########################################### Stopping Abortion through Nullification SB1552 is designed to declare performing an abortion as "unprofessional conduct" thus prohibiting the issuing or renewal of physician licenses for such acts. This function is wholly controlled by the state with no federal involvement. While this bill still needs an easy fix it did pass the state Senate. We will see how it does in the House. Status – SB1552 has been assigned to the House Public Health Committee but needs to be amended before being put on the Committee agenda for a vote. This is being worked on by our supportive legislators. Action – None this week. Pending amendment completion. Take care, Bob ... Bob Donohoo
